Non-dominant right coronary artery

I had an angiogram and my doctor said my left coronaries were about 20% blocked.  My non-dominant right coronary artery is about 70-80% blocked but the doctor left me a voice mail saying that stenting was not called for because the right coronary supplies blood to the right ventricle which pumps blood into the lungs (a low pressure area).  My question is: why would stenting be uncalled for, why not fix the problem?

If there is no angina (chest pain from lack of blood to heart cells), or if there is stable angina (pain with exertion only), medication that dilates the vessels is the appropriate treatment. You can google COURAGE study for information regarding interventional therapy and medical treatment for CAD.

Stenting, medication, by-pass doesn't fix the problem, it alleviates the symptoms.  To fix the problem would be to reverse hard and soft plaque from the arteries.
