i am going in on monday to a cardiologist and am having a stress test and a echocadiogram
Have you been evaluated for a heart defect? A pediatric cardiologist who specializes in adults or an adult who specializes in heart defects (this is not a general cardiologist) would be the best to assess this. There are other possibilities that might cause this type of pain, i.e. gall bladder or referred pain from elsewhere, possibly even an anxiety disorder.
If you have typical symptoms of heart issues with exertion, then it might be good to be evaluated. With congenital heart defects, EKGs don't often show the heart defect, they can, but they can also be missed. And yes, I have experience with feeling like I am having a heart attack, but I know it's blood flow issues from my defect. It does not show up on the EKG though as an MI.
and right when i wake up my pulse is 40
