I am drawing a blank which test it was. He passed a stress test but he did have an angiogram following late and a cat scan. So it was either of those. The dr basically did those tests just because of his look during the stress test and his bad family history.
I don't know - thank you.
What happened to my answer to you? Did you see it before it was deleted?
You could have a blockage in your external carotid artery that supplies your face and scalp.
Thank you for your words - how did they diagnose the aortic aneurysm?
Listen to your wife. If she sees it, then it is there. In 2000, at age 39, after walking our dog, my husband looked gray in the face every night for a week. His stress test showed fine. One night he came in, looked gray and said his shoulder hurt. Because we had a friend who lost a husband from an anuerysm at 38 with similar symptoms, I thought we should switch drs. We did and he was seen by a cardiologist who found an aortic aneurysm. He would have died. He had no chest pain or shortness of breath. He did however lose a mom at age 43 and dad at age 50 from a heart attack. I just kept noticing hjis gray look after he'd come in after a 30-45 min walk with the dog. He was not overweight, nor diabetic. Listen to your wife. Get a really good checkup. Good luck. Especially with your family history. Take it seriously.
