Echo results

Hi,

These are my Echo results from 2008 and 2012.  Just wondering if anyone understands them and if anything might of gotten worse.  The doctor tried to explain a little but I was so nervous did not really hear what he was saying.

Oops it would help if I added the results:)
Thank you,

March 2008

Findings:  Global left ventricular wall motion and contractility are within normal limits.
The estimated left ventricular ejection fraction is 65-70%
The left artial chamber size is normal.
A PFO was not completely excluded on this examination
There is mild to mod mitral regurg observed
There is systolic bowing without evidence of prolapse.
There is mild tricuspid regurg.
Right Venticular systolic pressure is 23 mmHg.

April 1012

Findings:
The left ventricular cavity size is normal.  The wall thickness has mild LVH.  The left ventricular global function is without wall motion abnormality.  The estimated efection fraction is 65-70%.  The regional wall is without wall motion abnormality
Right ventricular size, function, thickness normal.
Left and right atrium are normal in size.
The mitral valve leaflets are thickened.  Mild to Mod mitral regurg.
The aortic valve is with mild thickening of the leaflets
The tricuspid valve structure is normal.  There is mild tricuspid regurg.
The pulmonic valve structure is normal.  There is trivial pulmonic regurg.
There is trivial pericardial effusion.
There are no intracardiac masses or thrombi.
The visualized portion of the aorta is normal in structure and unremarkable.  The pulmonary artery is unremarkable.  The inferior vena cava and hepatic veins are normal in size.   The pulmonary vein is found to be unremarkable.
There is no evidence of an ASD, PFO, or VSD.

Echo Conslusion:

I agree with Ed on all points.  These echos should be an annual event for you.  Ally

Nothing seems to be worse, but you will have to keep having echo scans at regular intervals due to your valves, in particular the mitral valve. Personally I think 4 years between scans is FAR too long. A valve leaking moderately can quite quickly go to severe, giving more complications. There is an added section regarding your aortic valve, now developing mild thickening. It's mild though.
