Low pulse, cold/heat sensitive, and Slowed thinking

I am grasping at straws here. LOW PULSE PROBLEM? Low to high 50's.

I have daily headaches in the back-side of my head and neck pain along with it. I have multiple other symptoms. Memory problems, lack of co-ordination ect. ect. I won't list it. It makes people think I'm just "CRAZY." I won't go there.

My question is, Has ANYONE ever heard of a condition where someone is heat intolerable and cold intolerable.......For instance a cold breeze on the back of my neck, my head or spine makes me not feel anything; like my brain is shutting down. My pulse drops to the high or low 50's. My skin feels like it's on fire in my face and torso yet the back-side of my head, my hands and feet are freezing. My head is hurting and I go into confusion. I feel no feelings. I am severely slowed down. My skin is white as a Ghost! I have to remind myself to keep breathing cause I feel so too tired to keep breathing.

Anyone heard of such a thing? Am I crazy?

Please, HELP ME! Anybody out there that knows what I'm looking for to get well?

No, I haven't had that test lately and last time years ago I had an enlarged heart when it was done.

I found the answer to my pulse question......

If your pulse is below 60 and your not an athlete especially if you are dizzy.....something could be wrong and could be a medical emergency. Could be.

It could be arythmia which I had a year ago with no follow up. Think I need to get to my Cardio DR. as soon as I have money to go. I was also told I have a Heart Murmur a few months after the ICU. No Follow up. "It's normal." I was told. I hope my new Dr. will help me and not brush me off. Things are starting to add up now.

I'm not doing that well right now. I go 4 now.

Thnks.

I don't think your thyroid would cause you to feel freezing pain/ hot cold/ turn white, fall down, and have severe headaches. And a slow heart rate.  Have you had a  TSH ,T3 ,T4 lately?

Thanks for everyone's comments. Just a couple other questions........

Are there Circulation conditions that fit my symptoms? What are the tests?

Could Synthroid cause my symptoms?

I have symptoms of Partial Complex Seizues but messed the EEG test up by too much movement. Then again these symptoms are symptoms of many conditions. I have checked out the Nuerology forum as well. Lots of people like me there with no Dx.

I have to be prepared what to ask the doctors cause they overlook things because I have anxiety.
( My Dx of Panic Attacks worsened turned out to be Pneumonia after I ended up in the ICU. The chest pain was real.)

Thanks everyone.

Extreme dizziness says to me low electrolytes. Next time someone goes to the grocery store have them get a small container of salt substitute which is pure potassium. Mix some in a glass of water. Do small amounts and wait a good 45 minutes to an hour between doses of 1/4 teaspoon. If you don't have good results after you do this 3 times, stop, this is not the problem.
I have never had the problem of too low a blood pressure but that might be the cause of the dizziness. If your heart is beating low as well as slow.
Something you might try as a test, but be real carefull is to get a small bag and breath in and out of it just a few times and see how it affects your breathing. I have heard of people not getting quite enough carbon dioxide to trigger the automatic breathing responce. If you know you are breathing fine ignore this.
Trained atheletes can have a heart beat of 50 at rest. A weak heart will beat faster to bet the blood pumped out because there isn't enough oxygen getting to the body. It doesn't sound like you have that problem.
When I over exhert and get tired I get tachy or have a rapid heart beat. My pulse is 58 at rest.

I hope you get into see a doc soon. Even paying full price for a GP could help illiminate a lot of things and narrow it down. Guessing about things online can make things worse.

If I was you I would check out things in the forums for fibromialga and MS. I am not trying to scare you but there might be someone else going through the exact same thing that knows what is happening to them.
Good Luck to you.

I can give these things a try and I am having extreme dizziness. Sometimes I can't do anything for myself without falling down and am in pain. It comes in episodes all day long.

I have been this way for a year and have lost my job and kids over it. My new husband has to take care of me. I can't live a normal life this way.

I kind of don't get it. There is no pulse rate that says " Hello! This person's heart is about to stop beating." ??????????? a bit of frustration and humor at the same time.

There must be some explanation.

Thanks Guys.

My heart doesn't beat very strong  I get cold extremities even when it is 80* in the house dthe summer. I use a cayenne pepper suppliment from Soloray called Cool Cayenne which is buffered to not burn the stomach. It really gets the circulation going and toes don't get cold. I have also been grinding up fresh ginger and putting it in juice. That does the same thing. I have gotten a bit tired of juicing every morning and have a jar of ginger extract that is high in the volotile oil, gingerol, on the way to see how taking in a capsule works out.
The cayenne definatly warms me up and gives me a bit of pep. It is salt free, and should be available at any good health food store. I don't know if this is of help, but it might be worth a try. This will effect your protime if you are taking Coumadin, but I don't know how much.

most bradycardias ( slow heart rates) are not treated unless the patient becomes very lightheaded. Best wishes.

I'm on Synthroid.

My tests have been inconclusive lately. I am supposed to see a Cardiologist and Neurologist. I was in the hospital a year ago with Strep Pneumonia and Cardiac Arythmia. I got no help when I left the hospital cause everything as blown off as panic attacks. I still had Strep for 6 mos. after the hospital and wasn't referred for a follow up Chest X-Ray til 6 mos later..............still had Pneumonia. I got no follow up for Cardiac or the Pneumonia. Now, I'm waiting for a Social Security Claim to go through so I can afford co-pays for appointments and medicine.

Whatever is still wrong it makes CNS medication make me feel sick, yet I need it. Does anyone know how low of a pulse should be considered a medical emergency?

Thanks for writing back. At least someone is listening.

Have you had your thyroid checked. Undercactive thyroid can cause coldness, pale skin and low pulse and mental fogginess.
