i have high blood pressure and been put on medication for it for some years now. now my heart rate is between 80 and 92 . the last time i was but on a beta blocker and had a very bad reaction just after one tablet dr put me on proprananol heart all over the place so came off 2 days agow hospital changed my medication and put me on another beta blocker. i am back home havent taken it as am scared stiff its bisoprolol 1.25 my heart rate is 80 which i feel is ok can anyone help
Remember, a high resting heart rate means that your heart is most likely out of condition. If your doctor will allow it, you should add some exercise to your daily routine as that will strengthen your cardiovascular system and bring down your resting heart rate as well. Mine dropped from the mid 70s to the mid 50s since I started to exercise, it is great for high blood pressure as well. Just something to discuss with your doctor.
