high cholesteral

My husband is on medication for his cholesteral...his doctor called today and said his cholesteral is high and upped his dosage from 10mg to 20 mg.....I know that having high cholesteral is not good, but I was told that having high cholesteral while on medication is VERY bad....what I want to know is this very serious or something that we should try to take care of without too much worry...my husband does have a history of cardiac problems (open heart sx and 2 heart attacks) Also, I know cholesteral is helped w/ doet and meds, but does exercise play any part. Thank you

Blood pressure can be lowered naturally with weight lose, proper diet, exercise, no smoking, no alcohol, etc  Exercise helps the physiological aspect as well as mental (relaxation and stress control).

Never heard that part about the high cholesterol while on meds being extra bad.

But, yes, exercise is good for what ails you, including cholesterol numbers.
