Hi everyone, I had an echocardiogram done about a month ago which was ordered by my pulmunologist. I went to see the cardiologist on this and was just told i'll see you in a year for another echocardiogram. But still having these weird breathing problems, also heart beat kind of feels as it in my throatCancer - throat or larynx Throat swab culture, very nervous feeling of course but we ruled out the anxiety attacks on this. Not sure if this is a heart condition or more of lung or both. Can anyone shed some light on this, i am told i have a mild pulmonary hypertension and mild trisuspid valve regurgation but i was not prescribed anything to help this issue. Thanks Tony
I was also tentatively diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension last year, but was told it was absolutely not definate unless I had a cath done, which I declined at the time. Instead, I lost a bunch of weight and worked on increasing exercise, and the next stress echo I had done, my pressures were all normal.
Thanks for the info. My pulmunary doc does want me to have a sleep study but i didn't know what that would do. I am actually at my normal weight for 5"11 at 186 which i am actually trying to gain weight. It's just according to the test results from the echo it showed mild pulmunary hypertension. Can you tell me what kind of symptoms if you had any with the pulmonary hypertension. Thanks again.
If PH is suspected, there will be a round of other testing looking for contributing or causative factors. Along with pulmonary function testing, you might be given some blood work looking at all sorts of things, a chest CT, and a stress echo. Often a sleep study is done, as there is a correlation between sleep apnea and PH.

Good luck.
