Hello

Hello my name is Dean Owen, im 17. i was just wondering why a boy at my age has a high BPM, 88 BPM. Im an active person that does a lot of cardiovascular excersise followed by weight training. there is no proof that there is anybody in my family that does have a high BPM. and i do eat the right foods. can you get back to me asap before its too late!

Just taking your pulse can raise it. A rate of 88 could also be a result of the way you are breathing. My advice is to stop taking your pulse.

Normal is between 60-100 bpm. Sounds like you're ok. Who told you it was high?
If it really worries you, then you should see a doctor. Also if you drink caffiene that could also cause it to be higher than maybe whats normal for you.

That's in the normal range, doubt if it's an issue. You can always discuss with your doctor next time you visit. Your BPM may also be elevated due to anxiety when you get ready to take it.
