my irritated red oozing belly button

why is my belly button so irritated ?

it is really red and hurts alot.and oozing....i cant stop digging at it because it itch so bad...my poor little belly button cant take this no more this is hell. i usually let my boyfriend play around with it but i dont want him no where near it..he says if he suck on my belly button it wil feel better because usually when it hurts its soothing letting his tomgue lick all on my navel its like heaven,,,my belly buttom is hurting like crazy i would t\do anything just to have his tongue chewing on my bellybutton.......SO HELP ME!!!!!

Did you notice this is a heart disease board? Not the belly button board. I agree with the above poster - sounds like an infection of some kind. The itching may mean it's fungal and will take longer to clear up. Your boyfriend isn't being very smart if he thinks licking it will help. You aren't a dog licking its wounds. And if it's fungal, he may end up with an infection in his mouth. Think about that the next time you kiss him. Fungus lips. . .ew.

I keep hearing about women like this but have yet to meet one. :-(

  Anyhow, sounds like an obvious infection, something a GP should have a look at.
