Hi, I am 41 and on my third PM, I have been experiencing Pacemaker Syndrom for this last year, I get avery load thud and pulsation in my neck, a feeling of fullness in my chest and then like a head rush...my doctor said what happens is that the ventricular fire off ahead of the (right side) atrium so that there is no syncronisity between the chambers, and it is banging againist a closed valve, something like that. But I had an echo last week and now he tells me that I have a low EF 38% and that my septal wall is abnormal causing an abnormal rythmn in my left ventrical and that he is considering fitting bi venticular pacing, I would appreciate any advice on this also, what i going on. I had av node ablation 11 years ago an my first pacer fitted, I am 100% paced. Also I think you should go ahead and have your pm replaced why wait to the last minute??? I am 5'3" and 112lbs and healthy in every other way as well, normal BP
There is a great site for pacemaker and ICD patients at implantable.com Check it out as they are very helpful! Good luck.
Thanks--for the sites, but.... I'm looking for a person that has had pacemaker syndrome. I know I may never speak/type to someone with my hisorty- but I hope someone can tell me about their pacemaker syndrome.
