These are the same BS answers that everyone has been giving me for years. There is a direct correlation to position of heart and descending colon and or stomach when full of gas or matter. This is so bad that it applies pressure on my arteries leading to my face and skull causing vision and other problems.
I can confirm that nitro works for Gerd.
Reflux pain irritates the same nerve bundle that is involved in cardiac pain so the symptoms are the same. I've heard it said that nitro will make reflux pain stop.
Very interesting, I thought it was due to only excessive stomach acid. Maybe that explains why omeprazole does nothing for mine.
Heartburn pain can be mistaken for the pain associated with heart disease or a heart attack. Physical activity may aggravate pain due to heart disease while heartburn pain is less likely to do so.
Just to add, acid reflux is rarely due to high stomach acid. My mother is free of severe GERD and severe LPR taking betaine HCL with pepsin supplements (increases stomach acid) and digestive enzyme supplements (helps with digestion as well).
Yes, bad reflux can give such symptoms depending how bad it is. I would raise your pillows for a while and see if things improve.
