I had an echocardiogram and it only showed Left Ventricle upper normal in size and a trace tricupspid regurgitation. It indicated that this was a suboptimal Mmode2-D echo. I had previously had an ekg with q's in v1 and v2 and another showing slow r wave progression. I had been told at age 20 that my heart was enlarged and this was after a long period of illness from disseminated histoplasmosis. Later other doctors say the heart was not enlarged.
My question is I noticed on the echo report that AV was listed at 2.1(norml 1.5-2.0). What does this slight increase indicate and should there be some other test peformed since the Mmode was suboptimal due to my weight at the time. I have lost weight since then.
The Echo report did normal valvular structures.
I have chest pain that has been attributed to esophageal spasms, but I have irregular heart beats with this and nurses complain they have a hard time getting my blood pressure reading during these times.
