Extremely high cholesterol

My most recent numbers ( no medication) are as follow: Total 306, Triglycerides 54, HDL 90, LDL 205, ratio 2.3
I am a 60 year old female.
Statins affect my liver; I have been on Lipitor and simvastatin (Zocor)  I have no major health problems, eat a good diet, only a few pounds too many, not enough exercise. What can I do to lower my LDL number?
