toprol xl

hi , just got changed to toprol xl because of supraventricular beats i had a 24 hr montor and i had 2892 supraventricular beats 3% it says is this dangers, and does this mean my heart was racing when it happen because i never felt the racing heart. i just went on atenolol now this toprol xl, its scares me to change meds my heart fluttering now thinking of it . she wants me to go on 50 mg in morning anyone doing this med and how has it been for you . thanks for all input.

this scareingme bad i knew my flutters didnt feel like reg pvc/pac. but i dont have racing heart so how svt. 24 hr shows svt 71 bpm 3 fastest were 91 bpm. any advice on that and meds

I was on Toprol XL and it unfortunately didn't do anything to stop my SVTs.  Then again, I haven't had much luck with anything yet.  Tried the beta blockers, calcium channel blockers and now going on my 3rd dose increase of sodium channel blockers.  I didn't experience any side effects either though with the Toprol so I think it is pretty well tolerated. I hope you find success with this.
