go to a cardiologist who is willing to work with you and try alternative therapies. You MUST MUST MUST take a look into the following combo
D-ribose (10 grams per day), L carnitine (1.5 grams twice daily), CoenzymeQ10 (300 to 400mg twice daily), Magnesium supplementation. And a high EPA/DHA fish oil supplement.

The above are mentioned in this book called "Metabolic Cardiology" written by a Cardiologist/Cardiac Surgeon with over 30 years of experience. He mentions that he has taken near end stage patients with heart disease and help them significantly improve their Quality of LIFE with the above cocktail. Also PLEASE look into EECP (Electronic External Counter Pulsation Therapy, as your dad has had bypass surgery it is a machine which helps your heart get stronger as evidenced by increased vo2max and Ejection fraction). Also take note that just because your dad has a pacemaker installed doesn't mean that he cannot partake in this therapy.

Here the website for EECP: listing all the locations in the US. http://www.vasomedical.com/patients_treatment.php This is a 35 day course which is done one hour a day for 30 to 35 days. If he undertakes this therapy there is a VERY STRONG possibility he will feel SIGNFICANTLY Better by the 3rd week. There is tons of information out on this. Please take the time to look up this information for you father, as I can see you truly and dearly love him.

GOD BLESS YOU.

Has your Dad been back to the cardiologist, or has he been seeing his regular/primary care doctor lately for blood pressure checks, etc.? If he hasn't been seeing a cardiologist, I think it's time to go back and find out if what this electrical shock thing he's describing is a heart arrhythmia or something else that needs to be treated. Also, they need to get to the bottom of the headaches and figure out what can be done to help him feel better.

I guess if he has been seeing a cardiologist and they can't give answers to explain his headaches and the electric shock sensation, I'd suggest seeing a new cardiologist. He  survived a cardiac arrest and shouldn't have to feel like manure every day, you know what I mean?
