Hi, im not in the exact situation as you but i thought id explain my situation because it evolves around vasovagal syncope aswell.I was diagnosed as having epilepsy since about 7 (im now 21) and about 6 months ago i decided to have tests done to see what exactly it was.At this point after numerous tests, tilt table, MRI,ECG,EEG etc they decided that it was cardiology related and the most likely reason was syncope realated.
So despite being extreamly grateful i dont have epilsepsy im now in a situation where numerous specialists have no clue what it it i have other than it being syncope realated. Two weeks ago i was fitted with a Reveal Loop Heart Monitor where an internal impant monitors my heart consistantly, when i have a 'episode' similar to the one your experiencing i place a box over the implant and it records my heart for the hopsital to analyse. It was quite painful for the first 3-4 days but now i barely feel it apart from when i sleep on it at night and its a bit senstive.Im so grateful that i decided to go ahead and have it fitted (you'll hear alot of scare stories about it,but when you need it you need it)
Your episodes are lot more frequent than mine and sound like they get in the way of your normal life, i hope a bit of information about the Reaveal heart montior help.If its not relevent i hope that your situation gets sorted out but if you have any questions about it just askl:)
I agree with the post above, once a week does sound too much as well, i struggle with mine and mine only happens when i throw up (doctors think that my body cant take throwing up and temporarly shuts down with shock) I sincerly hope your sitution improves
I don't have a real answer for you since I don't experience syncope. But this will bump your question closer to the top. I know there are others on the board that do struggle with this. I'm glad your meds are helping but passing out even once a week seems too much to me. I take it you cannot drive a car then. Is your doctor content with so-called improvement? I shouldn't grumble - people without arrhythmias don't understand how I cope with mine so easily. We do adjust over time, don't we? I hope someone can answer your question.
