190 beats sinus tachycardia ! help please

Hi ,

I am a 22 year old female,

recently ( 6 month ago ) I got palpitations , syncope and pre-syncope,

echo was normal , and on 24 h holter, I had sinus tachycardia but with 190 beats/min !

I am now on isoptine(verapamil) 40 mg twice daily , but still get palpitations sometimes,

what could be the problem , and what should I do ??

Thank you very much ,

From what you say I assume you are no longer suffering from a high HR.

Many of us get palpitations from time to time, and it happens too to fhose who have a healthy heart, i.e., do not suffer from heart disease.

There's not enough detail in post to have further comment.

sounds like Inapproaite sinus tachycardia (not sure if i spelt that right)
but you should look it up...it's not harmful...usually goes away with time....
