svt's and exercise

I've been trying to exercise regularly at the gym.  Although I exercise episodes of irregular heart beats, I don't seem to notice any while exercising.  However,  whenver I take an aerobics class my heart beat races so fast after exercising that when the instructor asks us to take our pulse I am always told to take it easy and walk for several minutes.  It seems to take me so much longer for my heart rate to return to normal than everyone else in the class.  Should I be concerned....and should I even be doing classes like this or just stick to more calm activities like the treadmill?

My heart does this also, it feels like it's way over worked, I was wearing a heart monitor when I was mowing my lawn and it went off all 3x, by itself, I called it in, and was told to wait 15 min make another recording and call back, so that kind of freaked me out, I want so badly to work out, but apparently I can't even mow my own lawn!!
I'm not extremely overweight, I'm 5'3 and weigh 137lbs, I could stand to lose another 20lbs though, but my heart is all jacked up, it doesn't know whether to pause, skip, flutter or race from one day to the next.....I mean if we are suppose to exercise because it's good for our hearts, than why in the heck do our hearts react the way they do when we even "mention" the word....lol
