AVNRT and Ankylosing Spondylitis

Is there any relationship between these two disorders?

I would say not. Although it would be a zebra, there could be some connection between AS and arrhythmia (perhaps increased pain from the bones rubbing together would cause an excess of epinepherine or something far fetched like that) but there is a difference between a reentry tachycardia and simple extra beats. An AVNRT requires a duality of the pathway which is, technically speaking, a structural (or more specifically perhaps catagorized as a compositional defect) defect of the heart.

I know this comment is old but may reach someone....I have UspA which could turn to AS they wont diagnose me because my hla b27 was negative and nothing shows on xray or mri....im not sure if their related but my hrt sometimes feels like it is fluttering or skipping a beat and will pound out of no where wothout movement....been to the hospital twice hrt checks out fine but I have read that the outside lining of the hrt can swell which can cause those symptoms

AS seems to be unrelated to heart problems, however the stress it causes may via that cause some hear irregularities.  I don't know if one of those would be AVNRT.

Sorry to read someone is suffering from AS.
