Hi guys I'm a 30 year old male, with up until a month ago a perfect bill of health. I have never been to hospital, hardly get I'll, very active sports gym etc.. I started having these heart palpitations which just progressed I eventually got it checked out which landed me in a heart hospital and being diagnosed with sick sinus syndrome they found my heart rate would drop to below 40 then spikes up to 160-170.. They installed a pace make to stop it from dropping below 60bpm and put me on chronic meds to regulate the spiking of the heart beat.
But now 3weeks post opp and the palpitations are back and seemingly progressing to the point where my hearts beats so hard that it cuts of my breath at times.. so essentially I'm still having the same issue I went into hospital with .. And a pacemaker later the issue is still alive and progressing .. Could this be dangerous ? Should I go back to the hospital prior to my checkup date?
