palpitations that wake me up during sleep!?!? anyone??

i still experience this every night. could someone please tell me what could be causing this?

8.what could it be when sometimes it will wake me up and it will feel as if my pulse is racing 100000 bpm, but I will feel my pulse and it will be REALLY slow with long pauses inbetween, but beating forcefully and then eventually will start going fast and i awake with shortness of breath?I only experience that kind when I'm woken from them, which is usually every night. I also can feel them while Im half asleep (dreaming) and then will awaken with them.  could it be pvcs, svt, v-tach, a-fib? anyone else experience anything like this at all???

He told me that I have A-fib but isn't sure what is "really" going on with my heart and doesn't want to make a hasty diagnosis on which type of A-fib I have. I have had the tilt table test and wore an event monitor for 30 days and am wearing another now. I have been placed on Midodrine four times a day at 10 mg each. I have also been given beta-blockers and bp lowering meds. I have no reason to believe they helped me at all, though. I am seeing a new cardiologist now, though. I hope this helps!

I have similar experiences except I am fully awake. I have extra beats (palpitations) but these flutters are really scary and breathe-taking. I was very healthy but now I am extremely fatigue. The meds aren't helping either.
