Arrythimia.

Okay so I have a problem and well I started having palpatations. I went to the doctor he ordered me to get blood work done an ekg and echocardiogram. He told me they all came back fine. I kept getting the palpatations so i panicked went to the er and they did blood work an ekg and told me everything was fine. I panicked once again a few days ago and went to the er once again they did an ekg and said everything was fine. I'm just worried that the tests werent accurate and maybe they missed diagnosing the arrythmia.

She is right, you need a holter monitor. I was having 20,000 PVCs(skipped, extra beats) a day last month and I still had a normal EKG. An EKG is only a 10 sec strip of the heart ryhthm....so if you don't have one in those 10 sec...it will come up normal. Even when you are hooked up to a monitor in the ER...they may not tell you if you had a few because most Dr.s think of these skips as a normal part of the hearts ryhthm. Try the holter and see what happens, at least that way you will know what they are and whether to worry or not. Good Luck!

They won't find anything unless it is detected by you wearing a event monitor for 24 hours or 48 to a 30 days.

Well yea I was also told about that, but at the start my doctor did the ekg blood and an echocardiogram to see if he could find a cardiac arrythmia. He sent them to a cardioligist in another town and he got them back and they told me everything was fine.

Then I panicked with skipped beats went to the ER and had another ekg done blood work and everything came back fine yesterday I went back with another panick attack and they told me the ekg was fine again.

So I guess my question is am I complelty fine because I keep worrying they misdiganosed the tests and they didnt find the arrythmia.

I have them too and the only way you're going to get any real answers is to go to a cardiologist or walk-in at a local heart hospital. They will need to send you home with either an 24 hour monitor or 30 days monitor. This will help figure out what is really wrong with you. I hope this helps! I'm wearing a event monitor as I type.
