Hope you get some answers.
That's in the wrong area. I've looked at pictures of the heart and its arteries. These are in the exact spot where the large arteries go to my heart, under each of my breast. and to the left of my left breast. Only those three places. I thought I might get some answer, but thanks for all the suggestions. Your all very kind. I think I will get a second oppinion.
Have you looked into chosocondritis? That can cause those feelings also.
No, I didn't have the cramps from the EKG. I had the EKG because I was having the cramps. They never occured 'while ' I was on the machine. I had them at home and went to the doctor to find out why I was having them. It just seemed strange to me that they were in the exact spots that the wires on the EKG were attached. I still have them from time to time.
While I agree with what bbxx is saying, I'm going to have go with the doctor on this one. There are many reasons why you might feel pain in the region you are referring to, but "cramps in the arteries that go to your heart" isn't one of them. You experienced these pains after an EKG, so if something was wrong your doctor would have seen it. Electrode placement for an EKG is across your chest and on the intercostals on your side. If the technician pressed too hard when applying the electrodes, the muscles between the ribs could be aggrevated. Rib injuries are very painful. If the pain continues, go back to your doctor, and explain only the pain you are feeling, such as. "I have occasional sharp twinges of pain right here." Don't lead him, but let him diagnose your situation.
I jsut saw this. That is terrible if the doctor is not listening to you.
Unfortunately many doctors just dont give older people the attendion they need. I bet if they were old, they would change their tune. Maybe you can find a new doctor. In the mean time, if you have those feelings, go to the emergency room and they can check you out to make sure you are not having a heart attacke.
