Can a heart rate+Pedometer trigger an event monitor to go off??

I'm curious if being around heart rate monitors could trigger an event monitor to go off?  I know this sounds silly, but I was looking at these at Dicks Sporting Goods and it went off.  Just curious if you are aware.

Sorry Chuck, I just reread your post.  I was setting off the security monitor as I walked in, LOL.

I had the same thing happen at toys r us and target on friday, but the monitor did not go off at that time.  Did your event happen right after that?
