Hello mojave, I know this is several years later, but... I've learned that I have a similar reaction to anything that has cellulose in it, which is almost everything! It feels like someone is wringing out my chest, or a brick is sitting on it, probably esophagus. Eventually restricts my breathing a bit and is quite scary! I just bought their Refluxin and I swear it didn't have cellulose in it, but when I got the bottle the first ingredient listed is microcrystalline cellulose. Were you ever able to contact them? I hope you found some answers and found a replacement that works for you.
I had the same problem only I stopped taking it after 3 days. I found another sku/barcode label over the one on the original bottle, I was told this is a good indication the bottle was out of date or close to it and had been resold, relabeled with a new expirations date. Chest pains and related problems after 3 days, sent me to the hospital, an overnight stay there and many tests. NO MORE Ecological Formula's supplements here. I wasted $35 on a poor to extremely low quality supplement.

Here's what Came up by Entering the Name and Location Off My Bottle Of "Magnesium Taurate" Ecological Formulas and Cardiovascular Research, 1061 Shary Cir., Concord, CA 94518. Phone (925)827-2636. Pray this Helps!
I am also looking for their official website.
After taking the suppliment from cardiovascular research I am getting angry easily. Description of the suppliment is unclear.
I want to contact them and find out what ingredients they are using.
Magnesium helps with my Atrial Fibrillation. It does a better job than the prescribed medicine does.
I am about to order my first bottle of the brand you are talking about because I read that besides Magnesium chloride in an oil form which you rub on your body, Magnesium Taurate is the most absorbable form.
I've been taking Cardiovascular Research Mag Tuarate since 2009, never had a problem. I buy it form Amazon. I swear it helps with my PVCs, but who knows. might just be a coincidence.
CR probably buys it in bulk from a pharma / bio chem company. Mag Taurate is a "chelated" version of Mg. It's made by combing 3 simple ingredients:
Food grade magnesium oxide, l-taurine and hydrolyzed vegetable protein. the Mag Ox is "chelated" with the amino acid l-taurine. This makes the Mg ions more absorbable. It's very simple stuff.
