I totally understand what you are going through b/c I've been going thru this since I was 12!! I, too, am a very anxious person and I have always been. I don't think that my anxiety caused this but rather this just made my anxiety worse!! I have pvc's and nonsustained v-tach and they scare the heck outta me.!! I have good days and bad days but I am trying to learn to live with this the best way I can, I am 23 years old and I think that me and you both have a long life ahead of us!! You should ask your doctor for an event monitor which is basically the same as a holter monitor, you just wear it for 30 days and push a little record button whenever you feel symptoms. I think that this will give you a little more reassurance and help you through your anxiety. I hope this helps you, take care!!
Hi, let me say I think you are young to be worried about this, but you are. If the doctor is right and you do have PVC like me and the sharp stabbing felling you have in your chest and it knocks your breath out of you for a few seconds then you need to sit down and figure out what are trigging you to have them. You are not going to die. I promise you. You may think that but it is not going to be unitl you are 90 years old with a hot 85 woman. though out the day if you noicte that after you eat a big heavy meal then you need to eat smaller. You need to watch your caffinee intake. For me I have been living with it for so long that I do not care about myself. I am not going to tell you how to feel or how to deal with it because I can not deal with. All I know is that you are going to be okay.I know you are 17 and I am 25 but this is nothing we can over come this and not let it mess up our lives. So get out there and get a girlfriend go to prom, go and enjoy life the best way you know how.
Love, Marie983
can anyone comment on my situation
most doctors have seemeed to put what i had 8 months ago down to anxiety, i have been noted as an anxious child hwhen i was round about 10 , i think my mind is usually occupied about things which worry me to a point of spending a day thinking the thigns over except 9 months ago a youtube video has made me worry greatly about my heart and id say id spent from september to now worrying, i occasionly fluter between other things these sensations in my chest have been coming since march id say roughly i had the tests last october i never used to feel this sensation, its a new thing, the anxiety about my heart has made day to day tasks unberable, its hard to sleep thinkign my heart could stop at any time, i never used to go out much from 10 to lets says 16 so i saved alot of money i spent all that money getting tests for my heart last october, even though the doctor said thers a 99.9% chance nothing will ahppen and you okay i still think of the 0.01% as a threat it dosent matter how many times my brother tried to reassure me that doctors cant give out 100% for anything becuase nothing is certain
anyway id say i have a tendancy to worry alot, but the sensation is there i just dont know if its a link to my anxitey or a link to an underlying illness
thankyou for your time to listen and reply

If you felt the same thing while you were wearing the monitor and the report came back with no evidence of PVCs, you can probably figure it wasn't a PVC (or PAC).
It sounds like you've had a thorough workup and that the doctor has ruled out a cardiac cause. I'm not a doctor, but your symptoms don't seem to correlate to a lung disorder. I'm thinking you'd have a lot more symptoms. Has the doctor mentioned the possibility of GERD? It seems to be a fairly common problem for people with palpitations. The sensations could also be from anxiety. Do you have a tendency to worry? What did the doctor say?
thank you for replying, i just felt it again its like a rataling the center of my chest going downwards it takes my breath away for a second its really worrying me, so if thats not a pvc what other possible thigns could it be, could it be soemthing with my lungs or soemthign else etc
You didn't say whether you felt the fleeting breathlessness while wearing the monitor. If you did, then it's almost certainly not PVC's, which are easily identified by the monitor. If you didn't feel the breathlessness, there's still a chance it was PVC's. Most people feel their heart "skip a beat" or fluttering or pounding feeling. Sometimes this is accompanied by a breathless feeling, an urge to cough, pressure in the chest and/or neck, or in more severe cases, even light-headedness.
I don't really think anxiety can cause PVC's. However, PVC's can certainly cause anxiety. Anxiety can probably heighten your awareness of PVC's.
You are young and healthy, and your docs have checked you out pretty good. Therefore I wouldn't think there's anything urgent or worry a lot about. If the symptoms persist and/or get worse, or any new symptoms appear, you should get the doc to check it out.
Best of luck!
