Sure. Do the tests for a baseline value. But there are two things to be aware of:
One is that heart specialists spend years learning heart-related stuff that you are never even going to get close to. In general, if you are told by a cardiologist that you are ill, you are in fact ill. If you are told that you are well, the chances are very, very good that you are well.
Second, regardless of your distressing symptoms-like feeling your heartbeat in a hot bath, or having weird vibrations or a gurgling sensation or whatever--if you can do your ordinary daily activities, if you can walk up stairs carrying your groceries, if you can run after kids, if you can do this sort of thing without being out of breath to a disabling degree, or without barfing or losing consciousness, then the chances are that you are in fact OK, no matter how strange or bizarre your symptoms feel to you.
Yes, many people feel their ectopic beats but not everyone. I would suggest going through with the 48 hour monitor to see how many of the beats you are having though you have to be having a very high load for the doctors to do more than prescribe beta blockers but good to get them checked so you know where you are at. take care.
