Event monitor

I've suffered from one kind of arrhythmia or another most of my life, that is SVT, Pac, Pvc, A/F for past ten years and now VT which my cardiologist says is benign. recently, about six weeks ago, I was on a 21 day event monitor. I've had at least two holter monitors in the past six weeks also. No diagnosis was ever provided. A few days ago my cardiologists office called to say that he was asking for another 21 day event monitor. His reason seems to be a palpitation that was 136bpm, which is over my top. I'm low on top and bottom. The best I can do on a stress test is 131 after 10 minutes and 40 seconds; my bottom is around 48-52. My event fraction is good, however, around 60% and overall I'm healthy. But since November I been having two, three palpitations during sleep and lots of PVCs. I am seeing an electrophysiologist at a good teaching hospital, but anxiety is taking its toll of me. Has anyone here had event monitors for 21 days so close together? I'd appreciate any imput.

                                                                  Thanks.

They kept the King of Heart moniter on me for most of the summer while they switched meds and evaluated.  I was scheduled to have it for a few weeks at first and when I called in a reading, they kept me on the phone for a couple HOURS.  I wasn't off the phone with them until I had an appt with an EP md the next morning.  The first ablation happened a couple days later.  Then, they put the moniter back on and prepared for the next while they changed the meds.  When they did the ablation, I figured it was done and just hadn't sent it back.  Later, when the rhythms weren't done, they just said.. do you still have it?  Put it on.  I got pretty comfortable with it.  My rates were in the 200s mostly every day if I did anything but sit in my chair.  I hope they find all the info they are looking for to get you going smooth and steady.

I don't have much help, but at least I can say I've been on a long term monitor.  I don't remember the number of days, but three weeks sounds about right.  I was on because I was starting Rythmol SR and needed  a monitor to report any problems or bad reactions.

It seems strange that a second or third run would be needed, but I have no specific knowledge.
