I also get some sort of feelings in my heart)besides the typical pvc's/pac's), sometimes it shakes my whole body lightly, and when I take my pulse, it's regular. It almost feels like s sudden push of blood, a faint swelling that foes away quickly. I've had these while I was on a monitor, marked them to indicate that I was feeling something but the EP said I was marking things that weren't anything valid on the recording itself (ie. pvc's or pac's) during those particular sensations. So in other words I was feeling a funky feeling in my chest but the monitor did not pick it up as anything. So now I continue to feel these odd sensations in my heart, but I now get a little comfort knowing that they're not anythings specific or the monitors would have indicted some sort of irregularity.
I also have the capacity to feel the slightest disturbance in my heart of body which can be quite irritating too.
I have had holter monitors, been in the hospital and the ER 5 times. I have PVCs, PACS, SVT and had one episode of a fib. But I have actually been feeling/checking my pulse when I have those feelings in my chest and my heart is beating regularly. Last night I took an ativan and tried to not think about it and I didn't notice it as much. Really think I'm so paranoid about it I'm feeling things that aren't there. That isn't good.
yeah i have had similar experiences. my cardiologist explained that by the time you feel symptoms and take your pulse, the palpitation that caused it may already have stopped. have you had any monitoring? I had an ablation oct 2008 for svt and now have some new arrhythmias going on. I was unable to do a 30 monitor because I am allergic to the ECG stickers. As a result, last week i had an implantable monitor put in to monitor things more closely and hopefully get to the bottom of it.I am anxious to see what they will find because those feeling are very annoying and frustrating.
