PVC frequency .

I'm a 20 yo female and I've been having PVCs off and on for the past half year. I was hit by terrible anxiety and was practically bed ridden because of it. I've gotten used to the fact that I'll have to deal with these stupid PVCs for the rest of my life. Every test has checked out . The only test I have left is an echo. I'm sure it'll be fine though. Right now on my bad days I have about 250 PVCs but in my good days I have a handful or even none! I went a couple months without any at all and for some reason they came back. Here are my questions

1. The PVCs themselves don't scareme as much anymore . What I'm afraid of is them getting WORSE. Is this likely?

2. Will my PVCs ever go away for a few weeks months or maybe even years? Have you guys ever had this happen? My doctor said they should go away on their own... Im hoping this is true

I don't think there is any way anyone can say for sure they will go away.  For some they do and for others they don't.  Unfortunately if you are prone to anxiety you may be stuck with them.  Anxiety is a big trigger.  As are stomach issues like acid reflux.  Caffeine, sugars and carbohydrates.  Chocolate for me is a big trigger but I refuse to give it up.  Becoming dehydrated is another big trigger.  For the small amount you are having it is best to try and ignore them.  I don't think there is any reason they would get worse if you remain heart healthy but try not to dwell on the possibility.   It isn't something you need to deal with now and would be something you could tackle later on in life if they did indeed get worse but if you watch your big triggers you very well can keep them at a minimum or even be rid of them for good.  Do your best to work on the anxiety with meditation and yoga and a good therapist.  It will not only possibly lessen the premature beats but also help give you tools at dealing with them better if they do occur.  Take care.  They really are harmless in an otherwise healthy heart.  It may be good to have the echo done to be sure but odds are your heart is healthy and you just need to learn to take the premature beats in stride like a lot of us.  Take care and feel better soon.  Keep us posted on how you are doing.
