Heart palptations related to anxiety

A few years ago i was in the hospital for having a rapid heart rate. I was diagnosed with having anxiety and doctors put me on a medicine called Metoprobl. My heart rate eventually lowered and i pretty much stopped taking the medicine after that i felt normal again but then a few months  after that i got into a argument with someone and i think that it probably triggered the physical symptoms of anxiety to come back. One of my legs constantly feels like theres pressure, numb or it feel like it twitches. Its been like this for 3 years now. Ive had x rays, went to a physical therapist and everything and they say that my leg is fine.  Ive had blood work and it comes back normal. I also went to the hospital and they say its just stress and anxiety but i never had any medication for it.  Can my leg be feeling this way because of anxiety? Also some days i feel like im in a daze or in the clouds and my nerves feel all over the place. Should I consider taking Metoprobl again because i heard that its a form of a beta blocker?

In my experience, most physical symptoms seem larger when you're anxious!  But no, I've never heard of anxiety *causing* what you are experiencing.  However, you might want to google Restless Leg Syndrome."  A lot of my husband's family have it, and I have felt it occasionally myself.  It's not exactly rare, and some of what you describe fits the picture.

Just a note:  You mention feeling in a daze or in the clouds.  That's a real indication that you should be talking to a doc who specializes in treating anxiety.  There are little mental exercises that they can teach you, and also some medications that can help.

I can't think of how the leg issue is anxiety related, unless you are so tuned into you're getting phantom pain.  The only other thing I can think of would be sciatica.
