Heart rate elevated for last 7 hours

Since 2PM todaymy heart rate has been about 130bpm with  an average of 14 PAC/PVc per minute. It is now almost 9:30PM.   I'm sure a corisone injection in my shoulder joint at 10AM today did not help anything.  I've tried many things to try to slow it down,  ie. coughing, bearing down, pushing on my eye balls, immersing my head in ice cold water. Nothing has worked.  I really don't feel too awful, just getting tired from the faster  beat and annoyed bynall of the PAC/PVC..

My heart med is cartia XT at 240mg.  I took another 120mg about 45minutes ago )(called a pharmisicist). My  question is:  What do I now.? Wait it out? For how much longer?  Any other advice would be helpful.  I've only dealt with a long bout of this once but it was over, on  its own,  in 80min.  Most other times have lasted a few minutes.
Thank you
Melissa

Does it go down at all if you lie down?
Can you just call your doctors answering service and get him to call you?
Do you still have atenolol there?  I remember you said it made you tired but maybe you can take some of that.  I wouldn't know if you could based on the fact that you already took something else but your doctor would.

Do I massage the carotid artery up or down  along my neck..or does it matter?  I was hoping to avoid the ER - do you know what my risks could be?

go to the ER.  you can also try massaging your carotid artery, that can slow your heart and drop your bp.  but you should really get to the ER.
