I have POTS and chest pain, which at times has been diagnosed as esophageal spasm. Chest pain, according to doctors I have seen, is common in POTS. Can be very uncomfortable and intense. I have nausea too, mostly mild and ongoing (and annoying!). Also have GERD. Sometimes antacid helps chest pain, sometimes hyocysamine (sp), which is for spasms. Mine usually happens every couple of months or so in the evening.
Hope you get some answers.
My doctor told me once when I was in for chest pains that esophageal spasms can feel like it's your heart. I have G.E.R.D. (gastroesophageal reflux disease). Nausea can be one of the symptoms of this. You might ask your doctor to refer to a GI specialist. You might also look up costochondritis, which can be very painful and often strikes on the left side!

I was going to put some good refferences up here for you to read but then remembered that on this site over on the right hand side is a link to other causes of chest pain. Its under today's pulse topic. Just click on it and read. It has a lot of good info on chest pain.
