Hi,
I had a successful ablation in Aug.08.  I was in the hospital only the day of the procedure and went home the same day.  Except for feeling very tired for 2-3 weeks, I did fine.  I would say if you can, take a few days off from work just to let your body rest.  My Dr. didn't give me any restrictions but iIjust paced myself according to how I was feeling.  I waited a full month to get back to my exercise program just because I didn't want to push too fast.

Good luck with your ablation.  Please feel free to ask me any questions-I'll be happy to answer them for you.

First, best wishes.  I believe ablation has a good success rate for SVT problems.

Many on the Community have undergone ablations and I'm sure you'll get some numbers.  Best I can remember ablation is usually done on an out-patient (same day) and one may have to take full rest for a couple of days, then light work (office work).  I think it takes weeks for the ablation to fully heal, and during that time you may still experience some SVT activity, but keep the faith, they should go away with the healing.

Good luck!
