Irregular heart pauseing?..

so 2 days ago i woke up from drinking alot i some how managed to drink a entire litter of whiskey 80 proof woke up face first on carpet. then all the nire day i had felt strange. drank 64 ounces of beer in the morning and then went to sleep woke up felt jacked up. and then that night i ent to sep woke up around 2am and i started eeling this sensation so i checked my pulse on my neck and aparently it stops for agood 2 secodns and starts back up again at random times. i havent gotte any sleep and makes m really paranoid when i feel the heart pause feeling i get a strong head rush and sometiems when im walking around i get that same rush but in a dizzy way. ive smoked alot of cigs that night to. so today ive done a few personal tests. my heart beat i about 60+ a minute. i took a walk around for i live for ike 10-15mins. got home checked my pulse was steady pulse like you normally would. but it hasnt goe way o died down. just steadly frequent. laying in certian ways sorta masks it. i had eat some fruit and vitamin and some other things i researched that help heart related problems before my walk. so if its no a ehart related thing then im really confused. becuase im only 22 and ive never ad such a problem and i know people who drink more then me im 6'3. i am sorta not active lately for a good while. maybe if i change my life style like i been wanting i woudnt e thnk or in this situation at all. i imagen i could just go and check my heart. not sure if its geting worse or better. i just figure if i was able to take a walk someting wierd is going on. it must of happened when i was asleep or drunk and hadnt noticed but usually i notice things. other then that i feel fine besides the fact this has been going on and that adrenline like rushes dont happen that much. im just really nervous that whole what if i just keel over thing but i dont know. not trying to be a hypocondriac but this is new and messed up becuase my actions and i only hope theres a reversal to this to me dire situation on my life witch everyone dreads could happen to them. hopefully im just freaking my self out and its not that bad but from all the things you can look up about heart or bodily related problems its mind boggleing.

give it up not good for you heart and other organs like liver and kidneys. hospital told me to avoid alcohol because it can trigger SVT. they say I can drink beer moderately. also too much booze will dehydrate you severely which can upset heart rhythm and blood pressure

If your heart is indeed pausing for a full 2 seconds then you may have some sort of block or sinus node problem.  If it only pauses for a beat and you feel a thud that is likely an ectopic beat.  A true pause is something that needs to be looked at.  Ectopic beats should be diagnosed by a doctor but in general they are not a threat.  Everyone may get them at some point in their life.  So long as the heart is healthy they are of no concern but a doctor needs to sign off on that.  Ectopic beats can be triggered by the heart getting irritated. That may or may not have been what happened with the heavy drinking and smoking but more than likely the drinking and smoking made the situation worse.  I would advise you to go see a doctor or cardiologist to get checked out but allow also your heart some time to rest and recover and you may see the symptoms go away.  The heart is resilient but it can take a bit of time for it to recover.  But you also need to keep in mind, as others have said, that drinking can flare up heart rhythm issues.  I can drink beer but if I drink hard liquor I run the risk of waking up with sinus tachycardia.  So unfortunately you need to keep that in mind moving forward.  This very well could happen again.  Though I don't know that you will keel over from the symptoms you have described I would still advise you to see a medical doctor because they are the only ones who can truly tell what is going on with your heart.  You might also want to consider if there are any stomach issues.  The heavy drinking could have caused some acid reflux so the chest pain you are feeling may be from the stomach as opposed to the heart but acid reflux can cause the heart to act up as well so people relate it all to the heart.  But again this is something to discuss with your doctor to get an appropriate diagnosis.  So all in all, at your young age you are likely in general you are fine but if your symptoms persists, especially pauses, it is best to just go and get a check up.  Take care.

Eating does not correct an irregular heart beat. You need to see a doctor
a cardiologist would be best the doc can determine what type of arrythmia
if any and bring it under control. That does not mean you can drink as much booze as you want.

With that much alcohol pouring into your system it's quite likely you were dehydrated. That will cause some rhythm irregularities. In some people drinking any alcohol will cause rhythm problems. I already have arrhythmias so even a half a beer can set off my heart.

You may need to talk to your doctor about starting a plan to get healthy: food choices, exercise needs and general lifestyle. If you jump in and expect to do it all within a week or two, you'll probably get discouraged and give up. It's OK to ask for some guidelines. Your body will thank you.

well ive started a routine to better my life style. starting to thing it might not be palpatations at all. but smething affecting blood flow from the excesive alchohol use. i actually got to sleep alittle. ive been feeling my body go through changes. i know tobacco makes me feel like pukeing sometimes had that earlier but i havent smoked cigs in two days and i havent drank in 2 days either and i felt that drunkness feeling slip away. now im getting a feeling in the middle of my chest not the heart i think im getting pains and feelings oppiset from each other meaning could be multiple things or something. i havent have been haveing mass pain or anything butthe fact is i get this thud feeling that sems to be my pulse just tweaking out. ive started eatting fruits and vegitables and vitamins and alot of water and i think it may be helping somewhat. and long walks to get my body moveng since ive been really unactive lately.

If you keep drinking like this you wont make it to 42.
I had a co-worker who drank around a case of beer and smoked two
packs of cigs a day,he partied every day his theory was why live to be
eighty when you can do it in 60 he died at age 55.
