Is something wrong?

hi. I am 13 years old and I am having frequent heart palpitations. Yesterday, I had about 11 of them. Two times, it happened that i had one just 2 seconds after another. Then the others were just randomly. I go to the cardiologist once a yeaar becasue of a heart murmur. I already had the holter monitor on, and ekg's and echo's. Last time I went to the cardiologist was last December. He said that the ekg showed the my heart was beating like an enlarged heart but when he did the echo, nothing showed up? i basocally asked two questions here.

But i have never told my doctor about them so he has no idea that i've been having them, thus taking no action. I guess I'll tell him in the next visit. Thanx.

It doesn't seem like the doctor is too worried, and I wouldn't be either.  Some of us have PVCs every other beat!!!  I remember being told that when I was in my twenties...that people LIVED like that.  I couldn't believe it. Well, I do now.  I've lived with it.  Maybe your hormones are causing the increase.  I wouldn't worry about the enlarged heart statement, since he saw nothing on the echo!  Good luck.

No. I am not into sports. My palpitations or "skips" or sometimes extra beats. Well, i've had them before my doctor visit, but since my doctor visit, I've had them more frequently.
My two questions were that if it was normal for me to be having so many palpitations and my other one was regarding what the ekg said. That it showed the my heart beating like if it was enlarged but when he did the echo, he didn't see anything.

thanx for replying.

I am not sure of what questions you asked.  Are you into sports? Are your palpitations a fast heart or "skips?"  How long have you had the palpitations.....SINCE the last doctor visit in December?
