Ever since I lost over 100lbs my resting heart rate has dropped from around 75 to about 55, and overnight my watch records reading as low as 37.
The thing that concerns me is that my heart rate appears to momentarily drop on exertion before raising and lowering as normal, example - the other day I was relaxing on my couch, I thought I heard someone at my gate and feared they would let my dog out, so jumped up and ran outside, then back in. When I looked at my watch, my heat rate went from 58 (while on the couch) to 49, and then up to 75, and then a minute after that gradually, came down to 58 again.
I had an ECG for (unrelated I think?) tachycardia a few weeks ago, but that was normal -turned out to be Covid.
I must add I have had no symptoms, if It weren’t for the watch I’d never have even noticed.
Does this sound like something to worry about, obviously going to check with my Doctor but in the meantime it’s playing on my mind, these things move very slowly here in the UK.
Thanks
