A heart catheter is especially good at finding blood stoppage in the heart arteries (need for bypass surgery) and I believe can give improved information on heart valves. These problems are very uncommon in a person your age, and given your echo(cardiogram?) and Stress (not nuclear?) looked good I'd a catheter examination would not be called for. Keep in mind I am not a doctor, just giving you input from my personal experience. For reference, I have failed the nuclear stress test (a couple of times over the years) and had a catheter look. Happily the catheter did not show any blockage. I also had a catheter strudy done to look at my mitral valve function. The mitral valve was known to have a leakage problem from previous echocardiograms. So, in each case I had a catheter study when some other less invasive (an costly) tests indicated a problem. I later had heart surgery to repair my mitral valve. All this is just my history, a way of documenting how I reached my input for your questions, there is no intent in this post to say you have any of the problems I have suffered from.
Watch your diet, no stimulants like caffeine (coffee, tea, choclate, others) and get up more slowly and breath deeply before starting to walk.
do you suffer from any anxiety problems that could be bringing this on
No I am a very calm person, I hate the word stress and would rather not waste time on wondering what is going to come at me next, I say bring it on and let me deal with it.
Thank you Jerry,
I am 5"7" and 152 you know what. I keep my self active, I have no choice, my kids would not have it anyother way, lol.
They did do a Nuclear Stress Test And yes it was a echocardiogram.
They thought that it might be my mitral valve aswell leaking. but not found.
I am clueless.
I do thank you for you kind words and well keep them in mind, if you have any other thought on the matter they are always welcome.
unless your like me and the heart cath is normal and the doc is like dont know what to do...well i finally saw an electrophysiologist and the changes in rhythm were happening in his office in front of him...well june 2nd had the EPstudy with an ablation..all the tachy was from the sa node. im only 29 and for 4 years they said it was in my head and anxiety and i was never anxious...after i ended up on a ventilator they looked into further and tried medications...well meds stopped being effective in march and i ended up in the hospital after my heart went from extreme tachy to a long pause...i was out 30mins...and sent home 2 days later cause the hospital didnt have coverage...well june second was the first procedure..he said i would need more but didnt want to be too agressive at my age,,,,he didnt want me to end up with a pacemaker yet but said it may not be a choice
