Is my blood pressure high enough to be treated?

Hello, I have a heart question for you.  I want to know if my blood pressure is considered high enough to be treated with medication.  In the mornings after waking up, my blood pressure is usually about 121/80.  Later in the day, my blood pressure rises, and on some days can be up to 130/80, or 132/80.

Is this considered high blood pressure that needs to be treated?  For years, I went to the Doctor and it was usually 125/80.  I started getting some palpation's which led me to see a different doctor, and it has been 126/80, 130/80 and 134/80.  I have been rather scared lately going in to the doctor, not to mention I walk across the room and sit down and immediately take my blood pressure.  I thought that I should sit still for 5 minutes before having taken.  One visit to my doctors (126/80) and he told me that I should not take high blood pressure medicine because I did not have high blood pressure.  On the next visit my BP was 130/80, and he told me I did have high blood pressure.

My husband went to the Dr to have his blood pressure checked as it had been creeping up (history of high cholesterol and BP) and it was 175/98 (he is 34 yrs old). The Dr ran some blood tests and asked him to come back to have it checked again. It was quite high again so he went and lay down in the treatment room and when checked again, was down to normal - 135/85. He gets 'white coat syndrome' where as soon as he sees the Dr with the BP monitor he freaks and it sends it rocketing.

The bloodwork was fine, he has to lose 4kg and carry on his exercise.

Hope this reassures you. The Dr said to him 100+your age is ok for the top reading and 80 for the lower.

Your BP looks good to me, and given all the concern you have, that probably makes you reading higher when you read it... that is you BP is most likely lower.  In an case I'd not take any BP medication, and doubt my doctor would prescribe it for me if I had your numbers.
