MVP & tired allllll the time

I found out I had MVP at 9 years old.  Im on the generic form of Toprol XL and thats it.  I asked my dr to operate on me and fix this valve so I can live a better life.  He said "no way".  Far too many risks.  Im tired all the time.  Im really getting sick of this

I am sorry that you are feeling so poorly.  Great job on the 80lbs though. You may have felt better heavier but I can say for certain that extra weight is not healthy.

Is there a possibility that you are in a cycle of depression? I have read that depression can cause you to be very tired.

Hi Molly!  I have MVR and have done a lot research on valve disease. There are too many risks for a valve repair/replacement!!!  From what I understand the surgery is only done when the shape and function of the heart starts to change and become unhealthy.

I know how you feel on the Toprol.... but you just gotta push through it. Get a good nights sleep, eat right, exercise.... and enjoy life! Are there any other factors that could be contributing to your fatigue?
