Female, over 50, With over 14 years of Heart Problems, Strokes, Heart Surgery, etc..not I have
atrial fibrillation.
With several days in the hospital, to the extent of a cartioversion to maintain proper rythem.
My heart Doctor wants me to take " Bata Pace" a new medicine with what I understand
has life threating side effects.
Questions: Anyone using this medication, how long ..and have you seen any
side effects?

This medication cannot be purchased without a Dr's prescription. It would not be in your best interest to take this outside of a Dr's careful monitoring.
Because Betapace may sometimes cause an abnormal or irregular heartbeat, as well as prolongation of QT interval.Patients who begin taking Betapace should be observed in a hospital or similar setting in which heart and kidney function monitoring may be performed for at least 3 days after starting Betapace . If you aren't hospitalized while initiating treatment, you need to have a home monitor to send in recordings 2 hours after each dose.
