Increase in PVC's

I am a 58 yr old male, 6 ft., 170lbs. I have a 30 year histort of PVC's, which have recently increased in frequency, to include regular episodes of bigeminy amd trigeminy. I exercise regularly and have a stress echo every two years, most recently, one month ago, at which time my cardiologist gave me an A plus on the test. Should I be concerned about the increased episodes of PVC's?

Thanks,

Hello...

Given your line of work I can only imagine the amount of stress that you are constantly under...You had mentioned that you had a stress echo every 2 yrs and that your Dr gave you a clean bill of health...That is all great news for you. The increase of these PVC's should not pose any increased risk for anything devastating.

You will be fine:) I hope the New Year blesses you with a decrease of these annoying beats:)

I have not made any significant changes in my diet nor lifestyle. however, I am a 25 yr. career law enforcement officer, so there are many obvious stressful times. I guess I was just looking for some reassurance from someone who might have experienced similar symptoms. Thanks and God Bless,

Do you have any reason to believe what might be triggering these increased episodes?  Have you changed anything in your diet, high stress and anxiety recently, been sick, consumed out of the normal foods, drinking to much gatorade or electrolyte replenishing sport drinks, or brief holiday alcohol binge

Just some food for thought. If your doc has given you a clean bill of heart health I wouldn't be overly concerned. Hope they subside soon... Zach
