The first time I tried fish oil it gave me terrible fish burps. Ick! Last year I tried Nature Made which has the USP seal. No fish burps but no help with the arrhythmias either. Unfortunately (I say this because I don't like taking pills anyway), my cardio put me on Diltiazem a month ago because of some chest pain and upcoming surgery (I sailed through that). It's been most helpful but I still grimace and rebel each morning when I take it. LOL
Dr. Oz is a character, isn't he? Wish all doctors were that helpful and personable.
Thank you for response. Omega 3 worked wonderfully for me, even with my occasional Atrial fibrillation. One must, however, get a good brand from a real health food store and take 1 grm 3x's per day - my arrhythmia doctor recommended this. She also said selenium, magnesium, COQ10, calcium, aloe vera soft gels. I use what Dr. Oz recommends - Nordic Naturals - they have a bit of lemon so you don't get that awful after taste of fish oil. Maybe you could try it again and see if it works this time - it is supposed to smooth out the wall muscle of the heart and calm any mis-firing of cells that would cause PVCs, PACs or a-fib. Good luck. Doesn't work for my daughter, I believe because she is consistently inconsistent with taking her supplements.
I've tried them but didn't see any improvement in my ectopics or my tachy times. Mostly I was hoping it would help with cholesterol levels. Mine are fine but it never hurts to keep them that way.
