same with me...fever really makes them increase---I also dread the cold/flu season, for palpitation reasons alone!
Fever causes an increase in palps for me, but a regular cold doesn't.
My latest episode began when I had a stomach bug. Ran into bout's of NSVT right before I got sick. I passed it off at first as being part of the "process" of being sick. Then I suffered a month of all kinds of wierd rhythms. Ended up going back to the doc...AGAIN, because they were so persistant. Wound up back on beta blockers, which I had not taken for over a year prior.
So, yes...viruses definately kick it up a notch.
Yes definitely. I'm only getting a few per day since starting a beta blocker but I had a cold last month and for that week they were back in the hundreds per day again.
I have often experienced an increase in PVCs when I am initially coming down with a cold or infection. My wife says she does as well. Fortunately, if I am otherwise not symptomatic, it's only for a day or so that I have the PVCs.
Why, I don't know. I dread the times when I am already symptomatic and I am around people with serious colds.
May the Rhythm be with you.
