Post ablation one month check-up update

I just had my one month check up today with my EP.  All went very well.  As far as he is concerned, I'm cured of the SVT. I told him I'm feeling great and back to power walking and  doing some jogging. I don't feel any fatigue and my right groin bruise is totally gone. I said I do feel occasional thumps and skips but I have had these all my life .  As long as the SVT doesn't kick in, I am learning to ignore the kicks!
I know this sounds corny but I hugged my Dr. as I left and thanked him so much for changing my life.  I told him I'd never forget him.  I'm sure he must have thought ""this one is a real looney" but I just couldn't help myself-I was so happy!!!
I hope all of you out there are doing well. Please let me know if I can help in any way answering your questions.
Betty

My brother is looking into some cpr certification in his area because of the job he wants to get. He is pretty determined to get a cpr certification because he really wants to change his career.

Betty I am sooo glad it is over for you.  You have put up with this far to long!  No wonder you were overcome after your Dr. visit.  I hug my Drs. all the time when they have helped me with something.  And with what you have had to deal with.....well, it's more than most would ever be able to put up with.  Congrats and best wishes.  I am so glad you are on here to help others.

Betty - I'm so glad to hear that your checkup went well and there are no more bouts of SVT.  Its great news that you can return to your normal lifestyle without the worries of SVT.  It gives us all a lot of hope that we can end up the same way!

All the best,

Rob

oh lord ---i know that feeling that happened to me at a family do last year --fast heart rate definently painiced with it and hit the deck --not saying u paniced but i did --i too refused the ambulance only to be left wondering what the hell just happened there!!.i was on a good few meds at the time {anti-arrhythmias} and my bp just fell from beta blockers .i did go to the er in the end and was kept in for a few days and my exit notes read
hosiptalised due to beta blockers ---i feel totally nervous taking them since
i like your sence of humour about your co worker's they were all probably  trying to put their new skills to work {maybe not} but at least you were not on your own and they understand.
gosh i really hope your cardio waves the wand here and stops pulling rabbits out of his hat!!!
i too have an ep app next week too see if i need a second ablation or not?

Thank you all so much for your wonderful thoughts and  good wishes! Each day gives me more and more confidence that the  SVT eagle isn't circling around ready to land!!  Lagoya, thanks for your hug- I appreciate it so much!!

. Brooke,  I feel so badly you had another episode at work.  How are you feeling today? I know that Lagoya and you have Dr. appts coming up soon,  I hope and pray you will get the answers that will help you both. Please keep me posted.

Connie, that's great you had such a good rapport with your Dr. I don't know what overcame me  yesterday but as I left my check-up appt., I just had to give him a great big hug!! I think he was surprised but who cares!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your kindness. It's been a long road for me and it doesn't seem to be getting any easier. As a matter of fact, just when I thought things couldn't get any worse I was reminded yesterday not to ever think that again. As I walked into work, I felt that awful thud followed by a very rapid rate. The next thing I remember was laying on the floor with my co-workers scurrying about, paniced, they wanted to call 911. I begged them not to and said that I would be fine and that if I needed 911 I'd let them know.

They all had just come back from their annual CPR certification and were shocked that they may have to put what they had learned into action for the school nurse *LOL*

So yes, my doc better have a magic wand to wave over me. I had mentioned to him before that he should return the one he has for a full refund, since it seems to be defective.

That is the best news I've heard all day! Congratulations to you. I think you should be nominated ablation poster child for the month of Aug. Except for the minor hematoma you received, everything else was and has continued to be completely text book...the way it should be:)

I will be seeing my Dr on Monday. Can't wait to see what he's got up his sleeve for my complicated issues. *lol*

Wonderful news on the SVT front!!  I'm so happy to hear you are doing so well!  Look at you!!  Just think, not so long ago you were so nervous and now you're power walking, jogging and givin' out hugs!  LOL

My doctor gave me a hug too!  It really let me know how much she cared.  We had been through quite a bit and she was right there for me.  I have a cardio in NC (she insisted, "just in case"), but still travel to Ohio for checkups.
