SYNCOPE!!!!!

My husband has recently had 6 episodes of syncope in the last 6 weeks.  He has had EKG, Nuclear Stress Test, PFT, holter monitering.  EKG was sinus tach, Nuclear Stress Test normal, PFT showed severe/moderate. Holter monitering showed episodes of SVT and PVC. He has a strong history of CAD, father had CABG @47yrs old, mother has tach and PVC, what other tests do we need to do, he is still experiencing CP, palpitations, SOB.  He doesn't drink, smoke, use drugs, no caffiene, no stress, or anxiety. He also has 65% mitral valve regurg/ 65% tricuspid , he has an appt in December to see a Cardiologist.

I have syncope also.  I have all the slow, fast, skipping, flutters etc. they did all the tests and my heart is strong but i failed my tilt test. There are several types of syncope. I have vaso vagal. My cousin  has the more rare POTS. that causes syncope also. She said she failed her tilt several times but wasn't diagnosed with POTS until they did an EEG, laying, sitting, then standing. Ask questions when at the DR for sure. There's not too much info on POTS and a lot of Dr. prob don't test too much for it.

Hello, I agree with the above opinions of getting into see a Cardiologist earlier. If your cardiac work up is negative then I would guess he may refer you onto a Neurologist. When someone has syncope... cardiac and neurological causes are usually both looked into.

they could do a tilt table test to see what is happening when he faints just to rule out certain things and see what his heart is doing

I would def get an appt sooner than December; when I had those symptoms with fainting but only mild valve damage they got me in within a week.

just a side thought that may be irrelevent - his mother has tach and pvc's has she been tested or dx with HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) or cardiomyopathy been mentioned?

Those are some pretty significant symptoms.

Frankly, the best thing I can think of is getting an earlier appt with the cardiologist.
