Crazy pac/pvc. Has anyone felt this type?

Please help with this one.  Yesterday after lunch out, in the car I had one very strong thump that felt like a big squeeze of the heart with an uncomfortable feeling and a rush going up into my neck.
Today on the elliptical, 5 minutes in to it, I got the same thing even stronger.  It felt like someone kicked me hard in the heart with a simultaneous squeezing of the heart and immediately a rush up the chest into my neck. I gasped when this happened.  It left me breathless, then proceeded into tachicardia for a few minutes.  What do you think of this?  I am besides myself with fear.  thanks!

itdood - my EP told me to imagine my heart as a quivering bowl of jello lol you actually saw pvc's during open heart surgery? I wanted to ask for a cd of my surgery but wasn't sure I could stomach watching it :P

pvc's are especially frightening during exercise - when mine did it almost felt like my heart was stopping

usually the really nasty ones are couplets or triplets.  2 or 3 PVCs right in a row respectively.  of course I'm only guessing though, would need to see it on an EKG to really know what happened.

The squeezing and blood rush are really common with most PVCs.  How it feels depends on the timing.

I think the other feelings you had were probably related to getting scared from it.  We all get scared from them, that' not uncommon.  Just a bit of anxiety can push your heart rate up to 140ish easily, that that's just from your autonomic nervous system sending a signal to speed up.  If you are really panicked adrenaline can also rise your heart rate.

I've seen a heart throw PVCs during open heart surgery.  If you've ever seen it you'd know why it produces such feelings.  Depending on the timing of it, the atria and ventricles can be contracting at the same time so the entire heart shudders.
