This is not an important post...but a followup

For all of you who offered me support with my last posting "My Turn," I want to say thank you.  I did go to the doctor this morning, and was reassured that the breathing issue is asthma related.  I was given an updated inhaler (that I will rarely if ever use because they increase my PVC's and SVT) and a ticket to the MRI machine.

I am getting the MRI to take a look at the pain that radiates from my back to my chest when I try to take that deep breath.  The pain is likely due to an muscle injury and likely a nerve being pinched, but the fact that it is associated with getting those deep breaths has my doctor wanting to get a closer look.  This muscle or whatever it is has caused me trouble since I was 17 years old and has recently bothered me so much as to be the likely trigger for my inability to get those "deep breaths."  While my lungs seem clear and healthy upon listening, the painful muscle could be limiting the expansion of my right lung.

In other words...another weird issue that won't kill me.  Chalk it up to being me.....

Thanks to all for your support.  As always...that means more than most other things combined.

Glad you got the doctors appointment done, I'll be looking forward to hearing good news about your MRI. I'd suggest a trip to the chiropractor might be in order, sharp pains with deep inspiration can be from a rib out of place, that won't show up on MRI though.

glad to read about the up-date :) was wondering how you went with the doctor visit. Us "PVC-lers" have it doubly hard I think: we have something that makes us sick, but on top of that, any medicines or worry or stress causes pvc's, which in my case, stress me even more, and before you know it, you are on the stress-cycle again. I HATE IT!!!! I've had a badly infected knee this year. The doc prescribed IBrufen anti-inflammatories. Well, I knew I wouldn't take those, because anything like that triggers my pvc's. So pain ahoi, and I can't even drink a glass of wine to relax :) rats...

take care, all will be fine :)

Hi dolfnlver.  I am glad you posted a followup.  I was wondering how you were doing.

This is good news that you lungs seem clear and healthy.

Problem with the rib possibly?  Can't help ask the question, I know how much of a pain that is, as I worked closely with a really good doctor of chiro. for nearly 10 yrs.

I also wish you positive results on your MRI.  Keep us posted.

Good luck with you MRI, and typos are a surprise bonus in many of my posts.  Your key information reads much the same.

My wife has had a lot of problems with back/chest pain, some spinal degeneration, but we are seniors, so it may be for us.  If I see anything, not related to this community, that I think may be of interest I'll send a personal message. As I recall much of her relief came form spinal injections.

By the way...I meant to type that the issue is "LIKELY" asthma related.

Man, I should proofread BEFORE hitting submit.....
