Update, Ablation Oct 21,2010

Hello!

Well I have not posted in awhile, as I have not been on!  I opened a store, and have been very busy (and stressful!)  I had my ablation back in October for SVT, I also have PVC and rate dependent LBBB.   Anyway, it was rough for awhile after the procedure, lots of weird beats and such.  One run of something, not sure what!  But, after the initial 5 or 6 weeks, everything has been fantastic!!!  I have not had any SVT and very, very few PVC's.  I really had my doubts when I went in for the procedure, but I am so grateful I did!  What an amazing change in my life.  Anyway, I know people sometimes don't come back to the board with success stories, I wanted to make sure I did.  I know it is still early in my recovery, but I feel so amazing.  I have even stopped taking my blood pressure and pulse!! lol.  Well, take care all and MERRY CHRISTMAS and  a PALPATATION FREE NEW YEAR!
Michelle

Thanks everyone, I had suffered with AVNRT for over 20 years, and I feel very blessed to be free of it!!  It seems so strange not to feel my heart beating anymore, I mean I know it is!!  Just not the constant irregularities that I was always so aware of.  It is so much quieter now!   I guess this is how "normal" people go about their days, not feeling every beat!
So good to hear other positive stories, especially long term after ablations.  It gives me great hope that this will continue...
Wishing you all much Peace and Joy.

Hey Joshuamom: I had an ablation in july of this year and so far mine has been perfect. I had afib for 13 years....about 15 electro cardioversions plus the  arythma medications .. the whole 9 yards.. none of it anymore.... never thought my heart would be normal again.. it just ticks right along at about 65 beats a minute while resting.. no flutters, no pvcs no afib ...no nuttin.... just like it used to be before afib...life is great... sounds like yours is toooooo.... good luck and a happy new year... claytex

HI Michelle, glad to hear that you are doing well.  I too had the ablation 6 months ago for AVNRT and like you, initially I had some little runs and thought that the procedure may not have worked.  However, here I am six months later SVT free;  I feel like I have got my life back and would fully recommend this procedure to fellow suffers.

This will be my merriest Xmas in a long time!

Great, and, yes we need more good results reported.  One can get a distorted view of anything on which only one side/outcome is presented.

Michelle, Merry Christmas to you too, and it sounds like you are already thankful.
